Let It Burn
I light a candle and think of you,
And watch the orange flame burn bright,
I gently pick myself up off my bed,
And turn off the bedroom light.
I'm sitting in the dark and I feel no fear,
I suddenly see your face before mine,
You slowly reach out and touch my hand,
Before taking me back in time...
Lights flash by and we hit the ground,
Oh I remember how much I cried,
This was the day you lost my trust,
This was the first time you lied.
I remember this well, I frown to myself,
As I'm truly hating what I see,
You and another girl, kissing and hugging,
It was the day you cheated on me.
Why are you showing me this?' I ask you,
And you reply, because you need to see,
You need to remember what I did to you,
You deserve so much better than me.
You can't just sit around crying away,
I hope from this experience you learn,
Our love is like the candle in your room...
You just need to let it burn...
