I Love Her

there is a rose within my mind

growing upon the soft soil of my memory

and as it does i find,

this rose will forever be mine

like any other rose,

it has thorns

as far as i'm pricked by my rose,

i wipe my hands and love it as i always have.

the ground it has rooted upon,

is made up of my memory,

and the light it gets from the sun.

is the light from how cherished it is by me,

i grew upon the same ground,

and now she is rooting herself within my arms,

with love our souls are bound,

and no more does my heart mourn.

the road infront of us is wide,

laden with challenges and such,

but nothing will slow our stride,

and our love is all we need instead of luck.
