Short Love Poems For Her
Afraid To Love Her

He was afraid to love her, to let his feelings show,

So he mutely sat by and let her go.

She had once reached out to him, but he shied away,

He consoled himself, putting his feelings off for another day.

He kept her truly confused about how he did feel,

Was she reading him wrong, what was hoped for and what was real?

Each were loners, steeped in past pain,

Each spoke in poetry, of sadness that still remained.

Attraction and affection through innuendo's waltz, did play,

Flirting made a fire and denial made it fade.

He was her fantasy lover, he was hers each night,

She whispered her feelings to him, as she held him tight.

He feared her passionate nature, would it consume?

Would her fatal attraction for him, be his doom?

We shall never know how this might have played,

For he remained silent and she just drifted away.
