Love Withdrawal
From a feeling so wonderful that words could never
explain
similar to the crash after an ounce of cocaine
the emptiness that can only be caused by a man
Maybe being “in love” should just
not be part of the plan
The flame of passion and lust
that once engulfed the soul are no more
my essence and demeanor
have been hardened to the very core
No longer capable of feeling,
my heart has blackened and turned to stone.
Just me and my own lonesome pity, once again left
alone
Now there is nothing left but the pain
and forever it pours on me like acid rain
