Louis removed his eyes, for he had an offer to
make and did not want to do so under such mesmerizing
conditions; for he knew she could not say no to
him. "I know you grieve the loss of your beloved
father. You have no one else in this mortal life."
Louis spoke as he bent down and scooped up the fallen
rose.
A single tear fell down from her glistening blue
eyes. Salt trails stained her cheeks. She knew what
Louis said was true, but wondered by he would bait
her. She was already mourning, and frightened, wasn't
that enough? A thousand questions flooded her mind,
but there was so little time to waste questioning
the presented fact if vampires had existed or not.
She settled for a here and now question, in case
it was to be her last. “What do you want from
me?” She asked as she watched Louis gracefully
suck her blood from the rose.
Louis looked up from the rose, as he spoke. “Of
all the questions you could ask of me, you choose
that one?”
Victoria glared at Louis and displayed that she
was not amused. She was drained of all emotion, exhausted.
She knew there was only two ways out, dead or alive.

“Why did you call me here?”
“Why did you answer?” Louis rebut the
inquisition with another.
“Enough games! If you are going to kill me
then do it, other wise let me go.” Victoria
pleaded.
Louis broke in laughter, which echoed though the
mausoleum. “I do not engage in games, and
I have no intention of killing you. I have walked
this earth awhile alone, and am in need of a companion.
I was in the deepest slumber unit your scent had
awoken me, speaking to me. Such an intoxicating
scent you carry. So peaceful and innocent tainted
with grief and sorrow. I am here to take away your
pain.”
It began to rain, as it bounced off the mausoleum
like a rhythmic lullaby. Victoria fell in wonder
as to how this vampire was able to do that. How
could she be his companion. Victoria shuddered at
the idea. She looked up, her blue eyes peering though
a curtain of blonde hair. “How can you take
away my pain? Do you really think I have anything
to loose if I die?” She turned away from Louis
and faced the wall. “I am already dead. What
was left of my life, was just buried six feet under
with my father.” She began to sob.

Louis looked at her in confusion. Let me show you
what you could loose out on before you choose to
throw your life away so carelessly. Louis placed
his cold white hands upon Victoria's shoulders and
turned her to face him once more. He placed an unforgettable
kiss upon her cherry lips. He drew her in close
to him, as her knees buckled from beneath her.
Victoria embraced the enchanting kiss, along with
the visions he laid before her. Lands of beauty,
far and wide. Sites to have been seen, but never
were. Love to be felt, but were always lost. A life
of endless immortality and boundless. She withdrew
her kiss in a gasp as her body was overloaded. Every
emotion flooded through her. The Vampire's kiss
of life had intoxicated her beyond repair. She wanted
more.
“We have all the time in the world, and I
offer it to you.” He grabbed her hand and
placed a kiss upon it. “We will travel to
every inch and corner of the earth. No stone will
go unturned. We will conquer the immortal life and
live a thousand lifetimes worth of life. You will
never have to grieve again, and you will never know
death.”
Victoria brushed the side of Louis' face. “You
promise me such fascinating things, but how how
much is your word worth?”
With that being said she accepted his offer with
little knowledge. Only with such promise shedding
light on her darkened aggrieved heart. She would
join him, and walk all the walks of life, never
again to be alone. Such perfect prey she had been,
and well chosen. With no way to go but up, even
less appealing promises would have worked.
Louis took hold of Victoria's hands and guided
her to the pillar where the rose once lay. He handed
her the rose, as he gracefully moved her golden
locks from her neck. Victoria inhaled deeply, as
she was at a point of no return. She closed her
eyes and embraced Louis with her arms and held him
tight.
The Vampire's fangs emerged from his mouth, his
green eyes shimmed even brighter. A s gentle as
a pin prick he sunk his fangs into her smooth neck.
Victoria gasped and her eyes grew wide, as she was
no longer able to keep them closed. Louis sucked
her sweet blood until he drew near the last drop.
He tore himself away from her tantalizing blood.
Victoria fell faint into his arms. Louis carried
her to his tomb and lay her upon the satin sheets,
rested within the stone. He pricked his finger upon
the thorn of the rose Victoria was holding. His
blood collected upon his finger. The Vampire glided
his finger upon her half-parted lips, and squeezed
his own immortality into her.
Louis stood by long hours caressing her hair, and
stroking the face of his new vampire companion,
waiting for her to awake. Until the hour came, that
she rose from her mortal sleep. She opened her eyes,
and viewed her new world. A world with no loss and
no grief. Together they stood, and in an instant,
they were gone.
